Objective: We learnt how to develop the range planning for our collaboration doing during the class for others brands. At the same time, we created a moodboard including colour pallets and directional shopping research.
Working analysis – During the class we had to think about a brand and given a imaginary budget of up to £ to spend on buying directional pieces / ideas for our new collection. Doing that was a challenge for me because we have to thing how much the product will cost to cover up all the salary’s and others important factors. In addition, my brand is a luxury brand, which make the price go upper just because of be a luxury brand. I have to finish this work, because i did not think about the material that I’m going to use yet, and thats a important thing because the price of the material change the budget that I’m gonna have. However, It was interesting to experience and interact with the types of activity, bringing much closer to reality, which made me realise how much a brand think before putting the products on the display. As a result, I did very little in the class for my collaboration as I couldn’t think of ideas quickly. In the end this resulted in catching up at home.
Things I need to improve – I need to take a look of the power points and make a plan before the start of the session so at least I know what each term mean. This could help a lot with time and understand of the class. So next time I will be fully prepared and understand what I have to do in class.
